Q: What kind of game is this?
A: I don’t really like to categorize games too much, but I suppose you could call it a kind of “Metroidvania” game, if that rather odd term means something to you. It’s a platformer with RPG elements and a heavy emphasis on exploration. But don’t play it expecting Metroid of Castlevania, because you’ll be disappointed.
Q: The game is too hard! What do I do?
A: Play more slowly. Take your time, and be careful – you’re not up against a time limit, and rushing doesn’t help.
Q: The game is too easy! What do I do?
A: Play with your eyes closed.
Q: Why are the system requirements so high?
A: There’s a variety of reasons. The game was developed in Construct, which is a game creation kit, and not a programming language – and is thus slower. It’s also got quite a bit going on in each of its levels, and uses some rather gigantic image files. Sorry. I can’t do anything about this.
Q: The game crashed!
A: I have unfortunately been forced to accept that the current version is unstable on some systems, and won’t be able to do anything about this for a while. I’m more sorry about this than you can imagine, but there’s not much I can do at the moment. Do drop me a line if you think I might be able to help, though.
If the game is only crashing when you start it up the first time, and then runs perfectly, try installing it outside Program Files.
Q: How long is this game?
A: It’s not tiny. I wouldn’t classify it as a casual game. I can’t really guess at the number of hours it takes to finish – it depends on your style – but I don’t think you’ll be finishing it in one session. If you just want a quick fix, something else might be better for you.
Q: I liked this game! What can I do to support it?
A: Right now, I’ll be perfectly happy if you say some nice things about it, or support my other projects.
Q: I hated this game! What can I do about that?
A: Relax a bit. Then go play Metroid II. If you don’t like Metroid II, you cannot be helped. Consider getting a job at the Daily Mail.
Q: I can’t find the way to Dryanovo!
A: That’s because it’s an idiotic place. Here’s how you get there:
To get to Dryanovo, you need to find the exit in the upper left corner of the marshes at 1232|1056. That should reveal an anomaly, which leads to an underground shelter. The shelter in turn has an exit that can only be opened with the plasma weapon, which leads to a series of areas that ultimately get you to Dryanovo.
Q: I have another question!
A: Send me an email, or leave me a comment. I try to be helpful, I really do.
